“When you’re a little kid, you’re a little bit of everything. Artist, scientist, athlete, scholar… Sometimes it seems like growing up is the process of giving those things up. One by one. I guess we all have one thing we regret giving up. One thing we really miss that we gave up because we were too lazy or, we couldn’t stick it out or, because we were afraid.”—The Wonder Years (via brooklynmutt via Goodmorning & Goodnight)
“I took a shower washing every body part with actual soap; including all my major crevices; including in between my toes and in my belly button which I never did before but sort of enjoyed. I washed my hair with adult formula shampoo and used cream rinse for that just-washed shine. I can’t seem to find my toothbrush, so I’ll pick one up when I go out today. Other than that, I’m in good shape. -Kevin McCallister”—Home Alone, 1990 imdb.com
The great thing about building a family is that you can start any kind of tradition, cookie making, tree cutting down, and decorating event that you want. I want try to do it while we’re still young. Our family will only continue to get bigger and it will be harder to get together and do what you want. We already went to the tree farm and cut down a tree in Oregon, WI. It was a wonderful day and always will be remembered. I only wish there was snow. Pictures will be posted later. The tree is decorated along with the rest of the house. Now my goal is trying to get the rest of our families to try new things to build some traditon’s and great memories. Maybe some snow football or sledding? Between Brooke and I, we have four families. This year we will spend Christmas with Brooke’s Dad and Mom and we will spend New Year’s with my family. We will flip flop next year. Maybe a NYC trip to see some sites? maybe! Adjustments will be made but we will be happy with who ever we get to spend these Holidays with. Hope everyone is ready for us. P.S. Midas is coming too.
This weekend we will be going cloth full-time. Alright 95% of the time that is.(Brooke says in the background) Traveling on the road might be difficult with cloth diapers. No poopy diapers are riding shotgun with me. No one’s picturing me “Riding Dirty” if you catch my drift. How many more rap songs can I compare to pooping?
